The Religious Education program assists parents in providing for their child's religious instruction and formation. Active parent involvement and regular participation by young
people are crucial to the success of the program. Sacramental preparation programs require the participation of young people in regular religious formation; this includes preparation for the
reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. All students in Grades K through 8 who are not enrolled in a Catholic school should be enrolled in Religious Ed classes at
their own parish.

Our CCD students welcome Pope Francis to America! Click here for pictures!
During the week of Pope Francis’ visit to America, the SJSL students in Faith Formation welcomed him as well. Each class had their picture taken with a large photo of Pope Francis. The elementary aged students made a puppet of Pope Francis and read about his life. The older classes discussed some Pope Facts and some of the places he visited and the Masses and ceremonies he did. Each church hall will have a framed collage of the pictures taken during this special time. They will also be available for viewing on our website.
